Early this morning Chief 41 , Chief 241 & E141 w/4 handled an investigation inside on Franklin st along with Co.45 and 38. The call was chalked up to good intent with nothing found .
Later in the afternoon Carlisle Boro was hit with an extreme storm, massive wind gusts , torrential downpours and large hail. Every Unit with dedicated volunteers was staffed from Co.41 along with many mutual aid partners that were gracious enough to offer assistance . Cumberland County, PA - Department of Public Safety provided us with the IST team which set up a command post at the station. Calls were then dispatched out to units to be handled from there . It’s expected that crews handled more than 80 calls in the short amount of time however that number isn’t exact just yet .
A huge thanks to our dedicated men and women that went the extra mile to adequately staff rigs and handle the large call volume thrown at them . Special thanks to Carlisle Fire & Rescue Services, Carlisle Regional Special Police, Monroe Fire Company , Cumberland Valley IAFF F-109, New Kingstown Fire Co., Citizens Fire Co.36 & North Middleton Fire Company for providing help in some capacity, from brush trucks to engines and everything between. |
