Requirements
• 21 Years of Age
• Valid CDL
• GED or Diploma
• Able to Carry 100 lbs.
• Firefighter 1
• Hazardous Materials Operations
• 16 Hours of pumps training from accredited agency
• CPR & First Aid
• 16 HR Vehicle Rescue
• ICS 100,200,700,800
• EVOC
• Must Provide a complete driving record
• Must obtain background checks prior to gaining employment
o PSP Background Check- ACT 34
o Department of Welfare & Child Abuse History- ACT 151
o Federal Criminal History Record Information- CHRI
• Must Successfully pass an oral and hands on examination prior to
employment.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment.
• Cannot be a Current Member of Union Fire Company No.1 Upon Hire.
• Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to think clearly and use independent judgement in
routine and non-routine circumstances which may occur
