Around 7:49 am on the 13th units were dispatched to the 600 block of South Hanover Street for a reported house fire with possible entrapment. E141 arrived and LT green reported smoke showing from the attic and roof area. Upon exiting the engine Lt green was met by EMS and CPD personnel on the scene reporting a male at a basement window. Lt Green broke the window out and removed the victim along with the help of CPD officer Ferguson and EMS Lieutenant Fox. While this was occurring other members of Cumberland Goodwill EMS assisted with evacuating individuals on the first floor.

LT Green was awarded the medal of merit along with CPD officer Ferguson and EMS Lieutenant Fox. A job well done to all involved in successful operations on the scene.
