| Crews were given access to a commercial structure in the Borough to train on multiple topics that we don’t always have the opportunity to practice. Commercial structures pose unique challenges to firefighters due to their size, complex layouts, varying construction types, large amounts of inventory, and increased life hazards.
Members focused on hose line advancement, leader line operations, large-area search, and rescuing downed firefighters. Training in realistic environments like this helps prepare our firefighters to make critical decisions under pressure and operate safely when responding to actual emergencies.
