If your smoke detectors use 9 volt batteries, please change them twice a year when you change your clock.

If your smoke detectors are 10 years old please consider replacing them.

For smoke detectors with Lithium batteries, they typically are advertised as 10 year batteries.  Give yourself piece of mind that your family is protected and consider replacing them at or near the 10 year mark.
